What it does
Search SEC filing text across all filers or restrict to one or more CIKs. This uses the SEC's keyword/Boolean search: unquoted words are ANDed; double quotes request an exact phrase (for example, "tariff exposure"). This is keyword search, not natural-language search. Specify dateFrom and dateTo together, and specify forms when you only want certain filing types. Results are deduplicated to one matched document per filing, include a short excerpt from that SEC document when available, enforce the requested CIK/date/exact-form filters, and return SEC's relevance score separately from the excerpt. The total may be approximate above 10,000 document hits. Use offset with nextOffset to continue; SEC pagination ends at 10,000.
