analyze_financial_anomalies

Screens the latest annual or quarterly growth observation against the company's own historical distribution. A signal requires a minimum comparison history and a defined interquartile-range threshold.

Research teams triaging financial changes for follow-up in original filings.

What it does

Screen annual or reported-quarterly SEC XBRL growth for unusual latest changes against the company's own history. A review signal requires at least four earlier comparable growth observations and a latest value beyond the historical 1.5× IQR fence by at least 10 percentage points. Results are prompts to review source filings, not findings or financial advice.

Metric histories and any observations meeting the stated review threshold, with period and filing context.

Data sources and verification

EdgarStack uses SEC EDGAR filings and, for applicable tools, SEC XBRL company-facts data. Coverage depends on the issuer, filing, taxonomy tags, and tool inputs. Follow the source filing references and verify material facts against the official filing.
